Sadum decorative textile from the Lake Toba region of North Sumatra.
This is a vintage ulos, handwoven using a back-strap loom and the yarns were dyed using synthetic dyes. The patterning is truly extraordinary, with a variety of tapestry designs.
This ulos is woven exceptionally intricately with a very complex style of weaving.
